The Geotester gives an estimated unconfined compressive strength of up to 6kg/cm2 x 100grm/cm2 divisions when used with the standard 1/4" dia' plunger. The outer scales when used with the other 4 supplied dia' plungers gives shear strength over the range 0-11kg x 100grm divisions dependent on the plunger size and soil type. Unit supplied with 5 interchangeable plungers in carry case w/data tables.
